Understanding Healthy Waterways is an educational
package about the science of water, waterways and water
life.
It contains curriculum material available
on-line for teachers to access and use with their
classes when learning about what it means to keep
Tasmania's waterways healthy.
The Understanding Healthy Waterways package...
• would be best suited for use with middle and upper
primary school students
• has been written for Tasmanian teachers by a
Tasmanian teacher
• uses Tasmanian examples where possible and picks
up on Tasmanian problems.
Development of Understanding Healthy Waterways was
coordinated by North West Waterwatch Inc, with Australian Government
funds administered by
Cradle Coast NRM, and input from
experts in
education and natural resource management.
